Sony continues to drop news of new hardware from GC08 in Leipzig. Coming this Fall, a massive 160GB Playstation 3 bundle which will include a PS3 best-seller - Uncharted, PSN best-seller - PAIN, and of course the new Dualshock 3 controller. This can all be yours for the low, low price of $499.99.

The new game from Quantic Dream that has everyone going bonkers, including us, Heavy Rain, is showing off a new trailer at Leipzig. You can see it below, and it looks great. Combine that with QD's ability to spin a serious yarn, and this game is going to be one to own, mark our words.

David Reeves officially announced the PSP 3000 at the Games convention today. The unit will feature minor internal changes, a better LCD screen for outdoor viewing, and a built-in microphone. The unit will be available on October 15. The price will be $199 Euros, US price info when we get it.

Well, here it is, the gameplay video of the Sonic the Hedgehog game that is supposed to turn the entire franchise around. Sonic Unleashed certainly looks great, lets hope Sega was actually able to translate controller movement into great gameplay with this one.

Konami has announced a new game called Lords of Shadow for both the Xbox360 and PS3. Don't get too excited just yet, the game is not due until sometime in 2010. Set in Europe during the Middle Ages, it features an epic battle between good and evil. Pretty vague if you ask us, but it is still early. Behold the power of the Capcom/SNK/Arc fighting game resurgence. Microsoft has finally heeded the many consumer complaints about the Xbox360 controller D-Pad, and revealed a re-design that fixes the problem. The pad now has an 8-way input, with a larger rocker beneath. The pad is much more tactile, apparently. This is great news in time for the coming slew of fighters. Photos don't show much outwardly, though.

At the keynote session in Leipzig, Crytek CEO and mouthpiece Cevat Yerli revealed that he expects the next generation of consoles to hit in 2011 or so. This really means that the first stages of hardware design are likely in progress, at least at Microsoft and Nintendo. Mostly the paper-only stages, we assume, but you can bet it has begun. "The PlayStation 4 and Xbox '720' will arrive in 2011 or 2012, we think," said Yerli. "But this is just our estimate - we don't know, and even if Microsoft and Sony told us, I couldn't say because it would be under NDA.
