As promised, the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 demo is up on the old Xbox Live marketplace now. The demo weighs in at just over 1gb, so grab it before the rush.

Rumor mill for now, even though it is pretty much a given. Sony has officially listed the PSP-3000 with the FCC. This means that they plan to bring out the new hardware here in the USA, at some point. We guess it will be the big holiday item from Sony, along with the PS3. Let us know if the link goes belly up, we have everything saved. (Thanks, hammaheed!)*Update: Not much info on the changes to this model. The word is there are not many external changes, it seems its more of a cost reduction move. Again. (Thanks, tetris2)

Codemasters has officially announced three new Overlord games for 2009. The first is Overlord II, a direct sequel for both PS3 and Xbox360. For the Nintendo Wii, there will be Overlord: Dark Legend, and for the Nintendo DS, there will be a puzzle-action title called Overlord: Minions. Both the Nintendo games will feature unique motion control. It seems the original game sold well enough to warrant three more titles! Click read more for the full info.PRESS RELEASEThursday 14th August/... Marking the return of the bad ass game brand that champions a despotic tyrant and sets loose the most vicious, yet lovably insane critters in gaming, Codemasters® today announced that the Overlord and the Minions will headline a series of three new Overlord™ titles for multiple platforms in 2009.

Even though Sony Cambridge originally told Eurogamer that there would be no copy protection on the PlayTV service program files, and they could be moved freely to any medium, Sony has had a change of heart. Now, it seems, Sony has told Eurogamer that PlayTV will not allow saved video files to do anything but stream live to the PSP or record and play on the PSP. No reason for the change of heart was given, but what bad news. On top of this, PlayTV will not record HD signals at launch, and Sony is working on making it possible in future. Oh boy.

GamerBytes has discovered that Death Tank is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, at least in the UK. The UK ratings site has a listing for the title, as you can see at the link. The game is a 2D multiplayer game from the Saturn that many enjoyed as a cult classic. Good news, trust us.

Despite the reports yesterday from the Evolution of Sega interview/article, it seems Yu Suzuki is still a part of Sega in some form. The interviewee, Sega of America president Simon Jeffery, made a corrective statement today and stated:"I can safely say that Yu Suzuki is in fact still a Sega employee," said Jeffrey in a corrective statement made to Gamasutra today, adding that Suzuki "...is a Creative Officer of Sega Corp." It certainly seemed a bit epic to us that the legendary Yu Suzuki had left Sega to tinker on his own. It seems we were right. Good news for all.

Just a quick FYI. For those of you lucky enough to live, where else, in SoCal, specifically Walnut, CA, you will be allowed the privilege of playing on the first Street Fighter IV arcade machine installed in the US. The arcade is located right across the street from the Mt. San Antonio College in the same plaza with Jack In The Box according to SD Tekken. Anyone who can check it out, let us know how it is!

The so-called first images of the Wii external HDD device, posted by NeoCrisis, were apparently fake. CVG has confirmed with Nintendo that they have not announced or revealed any HDD device, and any reports to the contrary are (the classic line) "rumors and speculation." The NeoCrisis post has been removed, of course, but CVG has a copy of the crazy looking image.
