It seems there is a growing number of unhappy Blizzcon/WWI/Dell Beta Club members who were promised beta keys for the WotLK beta in the first wave, and have still not received them. From that information we have been told, a wave of invites went out on the 22nd of July, which included the majority of all the people that had registered their Blizzcon keys (but not all of them). Click read more for the rest of the tale.

Mark Rein, the voice of Epic, has confirmed that Gears of War 2 will not be showing at the Leipzig Games Convention. This is mostly because the game is banned in Germany, you remember the violence controversy when the first GoW was released. Hopefully we will see it at E For All.

You halo fans are going to spend hours dissecting this one, we are sure. As you may or may not know, Halo 3 received the Edge award for Innovation:Edge steeped particular praise on the integration and coherence of Halo 3’s online content, demonstrating an unparalleled understanding of the potential for online console play. Judges believed the Halo 3 stats and communities found on Bungie.net provided life for the game – even when the console was switched off.Well, in their acceptance video, made in the style of Red Vs. Blue, the MC practically reveals that Halo is not even close to done yet, and almost shows off new footage. The dialog is rife with innuendo and hints at the new content, with the host making statements like "even though in Halo 3 you finished the fight, that doesn't necessarily mean that the ride is over." When you watch the entire video, you will see that Bungie is by no means finished with Halo, and they might even be hinting at Halo 4, although we tend to think it is something else entirely. Rumor mill for now, but something is definitely up.

Gametrailers has posted some gameplay video of Fallout 3, along with an Todd Howard interview from Bethesda. As you can see, this may indeed be on the same scale as Oblivion. Frankly, it feels more like Morrowind to us, but that's just splitting hairs. Check it out below.

Geometry Wars fans, of which there are many of us, will be pleased to hear that the series is far from over. Bizarre's Craig Howard revealed that the franchise has "enough game ideas to do Geometry Wars for probably about 10 games." Great news! Hopefully we can expect another GW within a year or less!

Earlier today, Gamasutra reported that Midway was laying off workers. Well, Midway has confirmed layoffs from the Austin studio, and they have also announced the cancellation of an unannounced project. Between 90 and 130 employees will be seeing the dreaded pink slip. This is the first step in Midway';s plans to reduce costs due to poor sales and recent high game costs. The studio itself will remain open, though, to host the company's Central Outsourcing Group, while two teams there will continue work on "unnamed prototype projects" that Midway notes are both new IP. Stay tuned.
