Capcom has recently relaunched the Resident Evils 5 web site, giving the site new (un)life in anticipation of the release of Resident Evil 5 on March 13, 2009. The new RE site features a unique Flash design that takes visitors through the dusty streets of Kijuju, as well as constant updates, including information on the game and its characters, screen shots, downloadable treats and much more.

According to X-Play, who caught up with SF IV Producer Yoshi Ono, the home US console versions of Street Fighter IV will be released sometime this Winter. Great news! Since there is no official US arcade release, he said Capcom is going to try to get it to the US gamer as soon as possible. He said he does not want to start rumors that the game will be released this year, but "definitely this Winter," was what he stated. We cannot wait!

"There is no official North American arcade release, so we kind of feel bad that you guys have to wait for it. That's why we're trying to get it to you as soon as possible. Before the Japanese have a really long period of time to get really good at it first and totally kick your butt online…We don't want to start rumors that it's this year, but definitely this winter. At some point you'll be sitting in you winter coat looking at snow out the window…and right then we'll kind of heat you up a little with some hot street fighter action so look forward to that."

Deus Ex 3 game designer Jean-Francois Dugas spoke with Edge Magazine about the third installment of the series, as well as what he thought of the past games. He admits that Deus Ex was "kinda slow," and that there were not enough exciting moments throughout. It was almost a simulation, he said.

“At this point we don’t know exactly which platforms we’re going to be out on. The PC, we’ll be there for sure. But for us, console-isation isn’t about dumbing down features. If we’re to go console we will want to keep the complexity alive. We want the menu interface and controller to feel simple without risking any of their potential"

EA Executive Frank Gibeau has confirmed that console versions of the newly-announced Bioware MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic are under consideration. This is certainly the smart move, and as EA knows well, there is a huge void in the console market for a popular MMO game. Along with the success of Warhammer Online, this could provide a one-two hit for EA, we do expect SWTOR to make it to consoles.

"We've got this product, and we've got Warhammer at play," he continued, "So we're trying to look at the primary research required to understand how would you deploy it, what the client size looks like, how big is the back-end, what the play experience looks like... Once we've got some of those questions answered, we'll be able to decide which is the right play to go after."

Just one final reminder, folks. As we have told you before, tomorrow at 2pm PST, the big announcement from Lucasarts and BioWare will be made at a San Francisco press conference. "The game that has been rumored about for years" is the tag line they are using, so we can only assume it is a KOTOR MMO. We will see, though, in less than 24 hours. Exciting. Stay tuned to GR for the information the minute it is unveiled, folks.
