One of the best re-makes to be released lately, Bionic Commando Rearmed, is not going to be sold on Valve's Steam service after all. According to a post on the Capcom forums, Cappy and Valve were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms for the sale of the game. It is now only available on the Capcom website or Direct2Drive."At the last minute, we've been unable to reach mutually agreeable terms with Valve on BCR, so they won't be carrying it," VP of strategic planning and biz dev Christian Svensson wrote on the Capcom forums yesterday.

It seems there is a growing number of unhappy Blizzcon/WWI/Dell Beta Club members who were promised beta keys for the WotLK beta in the first wave, and have still not received them. From that information we have been told, a wave of invites went out on the 22nd of July, which included the majority of all the people that had registered their Blizzcon keys (but not all of them). Will Wright, the man behind The Sims and the upcoming Spore (which he refers to as a MM Single-player RPG), has even hinted that the upcoming game may develop into an MMO title, in some form. Even though The Sims Online was considered a failure, that is not going to stop Maxis from trying again, it seems. Spore is already going to feature online components that make the game as close to an MMO as you can get without actually being an MMO, so it may be a much easier transition. Spore is going to be epic, it seems, any way you cut it.

Jack Emmert, Cryptic Chief Creative Officer, spoke with the AP about the upcoming Star Terk Online, now that the game has been pushed into the forefront by the developer. Players will start the game as a captain of a small Starfleet or Klingon Empire ship. Players can then customize their characters based on known, existing races, or can even create entirely new races. Sounds promising!

In our commitment to bring you more PC game news, here we have the newly-revealed minimum specs for Far Cry 2 on the PC. Keep in mind, this game runs on the new CryTek 2 engine, which is up there with the big boys. The minimum specs reflect that too, with 12gb space needed, if we are reading the specs correctly. Yes, we said 12. Check it for yourself to confirm. The rest of the specs are not as bad, with a 3.2 P4 or 2.6 Dual/Quad core needed, as well as an nVidia 6800/ATI x1650 or better. 1GB RAM is pretty standard these days for a gaming machine, but 12gb, holy cow. The recommended specs are even worse.
