The rumors are true, Kraytos has taken up the clubs. Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds will feature the God of Golf himself. Starting this Thursday, you will be able to download the man himself for a round offline, and once you are ready, take him online for a god-like smackdown.

Sony has announced a new downloadable music and vid service for the PSN which is set to go live in 2009. Called Vidzone, the free service is designed to give gamers access to music on demand, as well as remote access via the PSP. While the price hasn't been exposed yet, we can bet that it's not going to be inexpensive. The newest member of the Playstation 3 accessory family, the Wireless Keypad, will use Bluetooth to communicate with the PS3 (and any other B.T. devices you need Keyboards for). The unit mounts on top of the controller in similar fashion to the Mad Catz Thumbpad. The keypad debuts this November; have your thumbs and wallets ready.

Sony continues to drop news of new hardware from GC08 in Leipzig. Coming this Fall, a massive 160GB Playstation 3 bundle which will include a PS3 best-seller - Uncharted, PSN best-seller - PAIN, and of course the new Dualshock 3 controller. This can all be yours for the low, low price of $499.99.

The new game from Quantic Dream that has everyone going bonkers, including us, Heavy Rain, is showing off a new trailer at Leipzig. You can see it below, and it looks great. Combine that with QD's ability to spin a serious yarn, and this game is going to be one to own, mark our words.

Just a quick FYI, folks. The demo for NHL2K9 is now available on the Sony PSN. It weighs in at 638mb, so it is not that big. The MS demo is apparently still awaiting its approval and certification, so grab this one.

The PS3's high price point is apparently not because of what the machine can do, but what it eventually will do, says Scott Steinberg, the Sony marketing boss. Speaking with Gamasutra on the 10-year plan Sony has for the PS3, Steinberg said: "The price of the PS3 is high but you're paying for potential." "The ten-year strategy is ingrained in all of us. [SCEA president and CEO] Jack [Tretton] has brought that to all levels of the organization," he told Gamasutra. We are not exactly sure if that is what gamers want to hear, but a marketing man should know that. What do you think? Comment and tell us.
