WipeoutHD should be fun. I really enjoyed the HD remake of GripShift.

i love wipeout but where is a propper ps3 game, that would make me want a ps3 sooner than crappy killzone 2.

I think you will get your wish. According to the article,

"1UP learned Wipeout HD is simply the first step, with a "major" Wipeout release penciled in for sometime in 2008. Wipeout HD will feature a online multiplayer mode and, while unconfirmed, likely HD-enabled tracks from Wipeout Pulse, as well."

OK, is that a mis-edit? The original article doesn't say anything about it not having full fledged HD graphics. What exactly is full-fledged HD graphics anyway? If the game is rendering at 720p or above, it's HD. It may not be a next-gen title, but it's still HD. Just like GripShift, which looks great for an under $10 PSN release.
