	Announced at a Microsoft Hardware event in the UK; Mark Bennett of Microsoft's HD-DVD team has outed a redesigned HD-DVD drive coming to Xbox 360 in 2008. Details are slim at the moment, but I'm sure we'll be hearing more about this in the coming months. The current HD-DVD drive as we know it is also PC Compatible. Mark goes on to mention "there are more plans to incorporate HD DVD into the PC platform in the future." >Link

i can't think of anything more boring than format wars.

i dont think thats grave news for blu-ray seeing that china chooses whats cheaper for them to make and pirate. almost everything on china's market is pirated, including DVD's, so why not HD-DVD's?

Chinese producing HD-DVD (with different firmware for themselves) = sub 100$ players VERY soon, pressing factories for HD DVD dics - more $$$ for Hollywood.

It doesn't matter what will happend inside China.

What's important - HDDVD's for Joe Public in 2008 in every 7-11 for 50$
