	According to MCV, there is a new "compact" model PS2 coming next year. The redesigned model will have a built-in power supply, and will hit US shelves at just $99 dollars. We assume this is to offset the fact that the new low-priced PS3 does not have the ability to play PS2 games. >Link

Back on 2000 Sony gave 10 years life spam to the ps2....well done we are near 2008 and the ps2 still sell like hot cakes on a cold winter day.

Now the question is if the ps3 will have the same destiny!

ps2 sales are what's hurting ps3 sales. they need to halt production and force people to upgrade.
