It seems there may be a new R-Type game on the way. The much-loved shooter series has a game coming to the Xbox Live arcade. This comes from an Australian game classification website which lists a game called 'R-Type Dimensions." No more details at this point, but stay tuned.

R-Type was always one of the best shooting series.Thunderforce III was my favorite 2D shooter of all time. It had great graphics, incredible scrolling, awesome stereo sound effects, catchy music...it was GREAT!
