I've been holding off getting a PSP because of the price and leave it to sony to bump it up by using a stupid bundle.

^^^ Trust me...You haven't missed much. God Of War is great and a few others, but IMO homebrew is what makes a PSP worth owning. The lack of a second thumb stick is what makes alot of these otherwise great games on the PSP fail. I mean...Who wants to aim with the buttons ? Sure, it works, but it's weird as hell. My dream would be a slightly redesigned PSP with 2 thumb sticks...lol.

^ I would hope you could change the controls to southpaw, so that you move with the buttons and aim with the stick. Regardless, I agree that there probably isn't much for me on the PSP, but ever since I purchased a DS (and love it) I've been getting more into the whole handheld scene.

You guys actually like looking at those small screens??? I got a DS for my sons B-Day last summer. I tried it once and couldn't handle playing MarioKart on such a small screen. So I didn't touch it for a whole year till last month when I took my son to his dentist appointment. They drugged him up and took him in the back for surgery so he gave me the DS he had been playing while waiting. I played the New Super Mario Bros game for 5 minutes and had 2 little kids watching me. I decided to let them play because I couldn't handle it.Sorry for the long drawn out personal story. Am I missing something here with the handhelds?

No, you're not missing anything, you just don't like the small screens. They don't bother me that much since it is a handheld. Got my DS for Ninja Gaiden and haven't regretted it since

As I've gotten older, my eyes have a harder time focusing on the small screens. Back in the day, I played the original Game Boy almost non-stop on road trips. Now-a-days, however, my PSP and DS rarely ever get played because of my eyes.I have to admit, though... the DS is easier on my eyes than the PSP. Even though the screen is smaller, the motion blur of the PSP screen kills any fun factor that any fast paced game may have (Need For Speed comes to mind). God of War is pretty darn fun, though.

LordFlux: I hear ya. I used to play Gameboy and GameGear growing up. I guess as I have gotten older I just enjoy playing games in the comfort of my own home on a larger monitor with my PC or my HDTV with the consoles. Instead of playing handhelds on the go. I was considering getting a PSP for my kids this Christmas. Maybe I will check out this new model...

Square's recent announcements of FF13 and kingdom hearts and dissidea or whatever its called.. makes me want to buy another PSP.. My girl has my old one now playing crisis core... i guess she can keep it

I use my PSP mainly at work and the remote play comes in handy big time when I travel. When it rained during the day this past summer while I was on the Virgin Islands, I'd go to my room and play some Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver. I have Killzone Liberation (good game), God of War (good game) FFVII Crisis core (ok/good game) and Castlevania. Madden 09 is bawls. I don't play it regularly (I stick to my consoles) but I find good value in what the PSP does.
